Available Positions

Performs golf course maintenance according to Golf Course Superintendent and/or Assistant Golf Course Superintendent’s guidelines, including maintaining golf course greens, tees, fairways, roughs, driving range, and landscape areas.

The Porter will be responsible for the set-up, maintenance, and appearance of events. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of all company events, equipment and storage space by cleaning, organizing, sanitizing and vacuuming if need be.
  • Service events by emptying trash, removing recycling, dirty plates, cups, linens and glasses, and replace as necessary.
  • Straighten all chairs.
  • Replenish water requirements as specified or requested.
  • Maintain storage areas and ensure cleanliness and organization.
  • Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times.
  • Provide courteous and professional service at all times.
  • Proper care, movement, storage of all equipment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to follow all sanitation procedures.
  • Ability to work in a team
  • High energy, positive, self-directed team player.
  • Able to handle last-minute changes to plans and be guest-focused.
  • Strong attention to detail for event set-ups.

Job Summary:

Create memorable dining experiences for members and guests at one of Kohanaiki’s two signature restaurants, Kōnane and Beach Restaurant. Our cooks consistently and creatively present each dish in a way that is pleasing to the eye and delicious. As a key team member of the kitchen staff, the cooks must bring a positive attitude each day while working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures the kitchen and work areas are maintained in accordance with Kohanaiki’s health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Prepares ingredients efficiently and in an orderly manner; checks quality of ingredients; and chops and peels vegetables, cuts meat properly.
  • Demonstrates basic cooking skills, including, but not limited to, proper use of cutting tools, cookware and bakeware, knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling, etc.), sanitization methods, proper storage of food.
  • Work in compliance with applicable OHSA regulations.
  • Use proper body mechanics in performance of responsibilities.
  • Report all accidents, illnesses or “near-miss” incidents to supervisor and management.
  • Uses effective communication methods with team members through both verbal and non-verbal communication.
  • Performs role under pressure in a fast-paced work environment.

Essential Qualifications

  • Culinary degree or related kitchen experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Available to work on a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Able to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Able to lift at least 20 lbs.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Job Summary:

First impressions are the ones that matter most. Golf Outside Services staff takes a proactive role in ensuring that members and guests receive a warm welcome from arrival to departure. Perfect for the detail-oriented extrovert who enjoys interacting with people, multitasking, and working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Promptly and courteously provide excellent customer service relations to all members and guests of Kohanaiki Clubhouse and serve as a resource for all property areas and Clubhouse amenities.
  • Maintain all Valet, Hale Club, and Practice Facility surroundings in accordance with Kohanaiki standards and procedures to ensure all areas are presentable and in proper order, including but not limited to, golf carts, coolers, company vehicles, valet materials and other amenities. (Examples of tasks include properly staging golf carts, making sure the practice facility is properly set up and golf ball stations are stocked with clean golf balls, and checking all company vehicles for fuel, safety, and cleanliness, etc.)
  • Communicate any special requests and preferences to Member Services for guest history.
  • Bring a positive attitude, demonstration of cooperation and teamwork, and a “can do” approach.
  • Follow all safety protocols established by Kohanaiki, make recommendations to improve safety, and report unsafe work practice or incidents to supervisors.

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License.
  • Able to lift 20-30 lbs, as well as stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Speaks English fluently.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, and extra hours when needed.

Qualifications:

  • Experience as an irrigation technician, preferably in a golf course or landscaping setting.
  • Strong knowledge of irrigation system components, including pumps, valves, and controllers.
  • Proficient in diagnosing and repairing electrical and hydraulic issues within irrigation systems.
  • Familiarity with water conservation practices and regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication skills.

Kohanaiki is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Golf Course Maintenance Mechanic to join our dedicated team. With a focus on maintaining our golf course equipment and ensuring the overall functionality of our machinery, the successful candidate will play a vital role in upholding our commitment to excellence in golf course maintenance.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with automotive or heavy equipment repair and maintenance, small engine maintenance.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing small engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with various types of golf course maintenance equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
