About Kirk Henry

Kirk has been passionate about health, movement, and performance from an early age. His approach combines practices like Tai Chi, Ashtanga yoga, CrossFit, Olympic weightlifting, and mobility training to build strength, resilience, balance, and longevity. More recently, he has expanded into rucking, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and meditation—continuing to challenge himself physically and mentally while evolving through each stage of life.

He grew up in Southern California, spending his early years between Los Angeles and San Clemente, where he discovered a deep connection to the ocean and began surfing. He later spent 11 years in Aspen immersed in mountain life—skiing, snowboarding, and mountain biking. For the past 21 years, Kona, Hawaii has been home, where he and his wife have raised two incredible children. Family remains the foundation of everything he does.

Professionally, Kirk has been part of the Kohanaiki community for the past 11 years. During that time, he has had the privilege of supporting and connecting with members and colleagues who value health, wellness, and an active lifestyle. He is passionate about helping people pursue their goals, unlock their potential, and become stronger, more capable versions of themselves.

Outside of training and coaching, he enjoys cooking and appreciates good coffee, craft beer, and tequila. At its core, life is about growth, meaningful relationships, shared experiences, and enjoying the journey.

His education includes San Clemente High School, Saddleback Community College, and plenty of invaluable lessons learned through real-life experience.
